Barry Penner began his career using is hands to create not cabinetry but music. Along with his harmonic talents, he also built the instruments he played. This kind of construction required high precision and fine attention to detail - skills he carried through into his woodworking. Part craftsman, part artist, Barry’s cabinetry and woodwork has not only been showcased in homes across Manitoba, but has even graced the Vatican as part of a commissioned piece. This desire to produce high-calibre products was the catalyst for forming Heirloom Cabinetry with co-owner Larry Koop.Established on the principle of designing and handcrafting high-quality custom-built pieces that customers will love for a lifetime, Barry and Heirloom Cabinetry ensures that projects, big or small, reflect those cornerstone philosophies.
